Russian PP-19 Convertible Bizon and Vityaz 9x19mm Transferable NFA Registered Receiver Submachine Gun

This Chester County Armory sale listing is for a Russian-designed PP-19 9x19mm Parabellum NFA transferable machine gun that was custom built by renowned Class 3 AK Gunsmith Mike Friend of Firing Line using an Armi Jager NFA transferable AP80 receiver and KUSA KP9 factory parts, along with a Bizon conversion kit by S/T Inc. This amazing weapon can be configured to both a helical drum magazine Bizon model or as a box magazine-fed Vityaz version with the simple swap of a removable magazine well and a forearm exchange. All parts for both configurations are included. In the Bizon setup, it will accept the S/T Inc Bizon KUSA patterned 58rd helical drum magazines. As a Vityaz, this machine gun will accept standard KUSA 9mm box magazines.

Originally adapted from the venerable AK platform, the Bizon and Vityaz models operate from a closed bolt, straight blowback design. Due to this change from a standard AK, the gas system has been removed and replaced with a weighted bolt system that physically appears similar to an AK piston. the defining difference between the two models are Bizons utilize a helical drum magazine, while the Vityaz model uses standard box magazines. This spectacular weapon offered for sale here blurs the line between the two models, as with the simple swap of an included magazine well, both feed systems can be utilized successfully on this PP-19 example.

These models also share the same receiver dimensions, trigger group, and selector controls as the AK-74 rifle. The selector lever is located on the right side of the receiver and has three settings: a fully up, unmarked safe setting that disables the trigger and physically blocks the charging handle; the middle position (marked “АВ”) enables fully automatic fire, and the lowest position (“ОД”) allows the weapon to fire in a semi-automatic mode. They also features the same left-side folding stock as the AKS-74.

This spectacular fully transferable machine gun showcases Mike Friend’s stunning prowess as a Class 3 Gunsmith. Not only does this model perform flawlessly, this impressive build even goes so far as to not only replicate the receiver markings, but even continues down to the exact same rivet pattern as what would be expected on a true Izhmash-made Russian model. (The NFA registered machine gun receiver also retains its legally-required original manufacturer and importation markings, as well). Mechanically, this approximately 800 rounds per minute submachine gun runs flawlessly, just like one would expect an AK machine gun to fire. This model is in like new condition, and has not been fired outside of all testing and evaluation of the completed build by Firing Line.  The registered steel receiver is in outstanding, like new condition, with no dents, dings, cracks, malformations, etc.. The internal mechanisms show no wear. The bolt face is clean and strong. The bore is bright and shiny with crisp, clean, well-delineated rifling. The bolt assembly itself notes no wear markings on the finished bolt.

Cosmetically, this amazing weapon is also in like-new condition. The selector lever engagement does note the tell-tale “AK line” from physical manipulation, but apart from that, the finish is completely intact on all areas of the weapon.  This weapon will come with one S/T Inc Bizon helical magazine, along with the interchangeable magazine well for the utilizing the box magazines and two 30rd KUSA magazines.

This NFA transferable machine gun is currently available on an eForm capable Form 3 that lists “Italian.” as the manufacturer and “AP80″ as the model. The NFA Form 3 correctly lists the caliber as 9mm, the barrel length as 9.25″ and the overall length as 27.75”
