Heckler & Koch MP5-N 9x19mm NATO SEF Navy Select-Fire Transferable Submachine Gun

This Chester County Armory listing is for a Heckler & Koch MP5-N 9x19mm NATO fully transferable registered receiver submachine gun.

This beautiful NFA transferable machine gun started off life as an all-German production Heckler & Koch HK 94A3 semi-automatic rifle imported into the US in 1985 (as designated by the IF date code). This model was then converted and NFA registered as a machine gun by Class 3 manufacturer Gun Trader of Reno, NV.  This model has been updated with German factory components to transform it into and MP5-N model. The MP5-N was a version of the MP5 introduced in 1986 by H&K specifically to fill the requirements of US Navy for a submachine gun that would be utilized on ships in low-light and confined conditions. Available to the Navy in both SEF and ambidextrous trigger groups, the defining feature on these models was a tri-lug barrel that was threaded 1/2×32 in front of the barrel lugs for use in installing a stainless steel suppressor supplied by Knight’s Armament Co.

Upgrades on this specific model include the correct Navy H&K German manufactured HK barrel and HK paddle magazine release. The German barrel is “IE LD” marked and will come with its original smooth style thread protector. This weapon also features an SEF Navy style pack that has been properly clipped, pinned, and fitted for use on this receiver. The West German produced HK receiver has been remarked to read “MP5” as the model (as the original 1st Generation MP5-N models were marked by H&K). The bolt, firing pin, and locking piece are also original German H&K factory production with an ID date code. The bolt carrier is a true full-auto carrier and is not a welded semi-auto model.  The HK A3 telescoping factory stock notes a “3IC” coding.

This fantastic transferable NFA submachine gun is in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. It has been inspected and test fired and functions absolutely flawlessly in all fire modes with standard 9x19mm ammunition. The bore is in excellent condition with bright and shiny rifling.  The bolt and bolt carrier group are in excellent condition with only minor finish wear observed.  The bolt face remains crisp and clean with no concerns. The exterior metalwork notes no dents, dings, gouges, malformations, etc. The fire controls are in excellent condition with only minor markings observed.

Cosmetically, the metalwork finish is also in beautiful condition, with almost no observable handling or use marks in the HK black finish.  The HK MP5 SEF Navy style housing is in like new condition with no handling or use marks. The HK factory original A3 stock and forend also display minimal handling marks.

This incredible investment-grade HK MP5-N is currently on an eForm ready Form 3 for quick and easy transfer. The current NFA paperwork lists “HECKLER AND KOCH GMBH” as the manufacturer and “94A3” as the model.
