This Chester County Armory listing is for an original Bushmaster XM15E2 .223REM / 5.56mm NATO transferable machine gun receiver with a Colt IAR 11.5″ barrel machine gun upper.
Manufactured and NFA registered by Bushmaster Firearms Inc. in Windham, ME using a Sendra Corporation receiver, this transferable select-fire machine gun lower receiver features a standard milspec front pin size, allowing it to accept all milspec sized M16/M4 uppers. It is “AUTO” marked on the left side selector. It also currently proudly operates with a factory new Colt IAR 5.56mm NATO upper with an 11.5″ barrel. Along with it’s full-auto, three position fire controls, this transferable machine gun setup also features a Vltor collapsible stock with a Colt H2 heavy buffer and a forward vertical grip assembly. Purchase of this weapon will also include and original BFI marked 30rd aluminum magazine.
This beautiful transferable machine gun is in excellent overall condition. Mechanically, this model is in excellent condition with only minor observable wear in the full-auto, three position fire controls. The metalwork of the receiver is strong and solid with no cracks, dents, or malformations. The included Colt IAR 11.5″ upper is in factory new condition, having only been recently installed.
Cosmetically, this weapon is also in excellent condition. The metalwork notes only minor surface handling and use marks in the exterior metal finish of the the lower receiver, most notably there are few marks in the finish on the bottom of the magazine well due to the use of metal magazines. The Vltor polymer stock notes some minor handling marks, but the Colt IAR upper is in factory new condition. Cosmetically, the finish match between the upper and lower receivers is excellent.
This Bushmaster XM15E2 model is a wonderful investment machine gun in the M16 family for the collector and investor who wants a more modern M16/M4 setup for firing, without destroying the collectability of a significantly higher priced original Colt model. This transferable machine gun is currently on an eForm 3 that lists “BUSHMASTER” as the manufacturer and “XM15E2” as the model. No barrel length or overall length is listed on the NFA paperwork.
