This Chester County Armory listing is for a German, factory original, Heckler & Koch HK53 A2/A3 5.56mm NATO fully transferable select fire machine gun.  This is a German Heckler & Koch factory built original transferable machine gun that was imported into the US. It is not a conversion model.

This exceptional weapon was originally made in Oberndorf, West Germany in 1985 by Heckler & Koch GmbH as a factory machine gun. It was then subsequently imported by H&K themselves into the United States as a direct sale for a US Law Enforcement agency. Based on BATFE’s import rules and provisions in the Gun Control Act of 1968 (as well as designations made in the Firearm Owner’s Protection Act of 1986), this allows models meeting certain LE use and purchase requirements to be classified as transferable models upon release by the LE agency, even though it is a post-1968 foreign-made machine gun.

As an original, H&K factory production gun, this transferable select-fire machine gun features the H&K machine gun push pin design that allows all H&K factory trigger packs to be installed. It has been updated with a brand new condition German factory Heckler & Koch original three position Navy ambidextrous trigger pack with 0,1,F fire modes. The trigger pack also notes an HK factory extended left side control lever. This weapon also will come with a new condition MKE A3 buffered collapsible stock and an MP5 wide triangular forend. Purchase of this model will also include the original HK factory 0,1,25 marked SEF style trigger pack with the contoured polymer trigger housing, along with its original factory HK A2 fixed stock, and the original HK53 slimline handguard and hand stop (including the factory original extended front pin). The barrel featured on this transferable machine gun is a original HK factory 8.3″ German 53 barrel. This model will also come with one 30rd original HK German factory magazine that is also in brand new condition.

Overall, this model is in excellent condition. Mechanically, it has been fully inspected and test-fired. It operates flawlessly with standard SAAMI spec 5.56mm NATO ammunition.  The bolt carrier notes some moderate finish wear and some minor carbon scarring of the bolt head. The bolt face remains crisp and clean.  The barrel is bright and shiny with solid rifling. The three position ambidextrous trigger pack and fire controls are in excellent mechanical condition with no noted wear.

Cosmetically, this weapon is also in very good condition. The original metalwork and HK dark gray to black factory finish is in great condition, with only very minor surface handling and use marks observed in the exterior finish. The original fixed stock, polymer trigger housing,  and slimline forend note minor handling and use marks on the exterior, but no structural (or operational) concerns. The included HK )1, F Navy trigger and housing are in factory new condition, with no handling or use marks. The A3 collapsible stock is also in brand new condition.

This fantastic, investment-grade, German factory manufactured Heckler & Koch transferable HK53 A2/A3 machine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy transfer. The current NFA paperwork lists “Heckler and Koch GmbH” as the manufacturer and “HK53A2” as the model.
