This Chester County Armory listing is for a fully transferable Sturm Ruger AC-556K .223REM/5.56mm full-auto transferable machine gun.
This four-position factory select fire machine gun was designed, built, and NFA registered by the Sturm Ruger factory, themselves. This factory variant of the AC-556 line of models features the blued Ruger factory finish, along with the short 13″ barrel and factory side folding stock (both features are designated by the “K” denoted in the model as factory original). This select-fire machine gun also proudly operates with fire positions for safe, semi-automatic, three round burst, and full-automatic.
This transferable factory machine gun is in outstanding mechanical condition with no operational concerns, whatsoever. The operational controls are smooth and function appropriately. This model has been test fired and ran flawlessly using standard NATO SAAMI spec ammunition. The selector controls operate correctly in all four fire positions (safe, semi-auto, three round burst, and full-auto). The fire controls are in excellent condition with no noted concerns. The bolt assembly notes minor physical finish wear at the rail sections, but dents, dings, cracks, malformations, etc in the metalwork. The bolt face remains clean and crisp. The bore is bright and shiny with clean, well-delineated rifling. The metalwork notes no dings, dents, malformations, gouges, etc..
Cosmetically, this transferable machine gun is also in very good overall condition with minor handling and use marks noted at various spots. The factory original blued finish notes minor use and handling marks on the sharp edges of the metalwork, but remains with roughly 95+ % of its original bluing. The wood stock is in overall very good condition, with minor surface markings and indentations observed, but no cracks or causes for operational concerns. Purchase of this transferable machine will include one 30rd factory original Ruger magazine.
This transferable machine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy transfer. The current NFA Form 3 lists “Sturm Ruger” as the manufacturer and “AC556K” as the model.
