This Chester County Armory listing is for a Carl Gustaf m/45 Swedish K SMG 9x19mm NATO transferable submachine gun that was manufactured by John and Stan Andrewski using a Wilson Arms NFA registered machine gun receiver tube and original Swedish parts.

Also known as the Kulsprutepistol m/45 (in Swedish) or the Carl Gustaf m/45, the colloquially titled Swedish K is known as one of the finest submachine guns to have ever been designed. With production first started in Sweden in 1945 (hence the m/45 designation), versions of the Swedish K SMG have been used by countless countries in countless conflicts. Known the world over as one of the smoothest, most easily controlled submachine gun designs, its own production led directly to the creation of the Smith & Wesson 76 here in the United States, as well as other designs and copies worldwide.

This fantastic model is an “L” series Wilson tube model. All of the “L” series prefix models were assembled by renowned Class 3 Gunsmiths John and Stan Andrewski using the Wilson Arms Swedish K registered receiver tube and original Swedish parts kit. The serial number of this weapon is “L-130.” The parts kit that was used for this model was a 1st generation version of the m/45, which allows for the standard m/45 mag well to be easily removed and the use of Suomi M31 100rd drums and 50 round coffin magazines. (This is in addition to the standard 36rd trapezoidal box magazine intended for the weapon). Purchase of this model will include three 36rd magazines.

Overall, the condition on this weapon is absolutely stunning. Mechanically, it notes no functionality concerns, whatsoever. The action is buttery smooth. The bolt and internals note only minor-use wear of the bolt finish. The bore on this transferable submachine gun remains bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling. The metalwork notes no dings, dents, cracks, gouges, malformations, etc.

Cosmetically, this model is also in outstanding condition. The gray parkerized finish is beautiful and consistent throughout the metalwork, with only very minor surface handling marks observed.  The original wood grips are in well above average condition, with no cracks, dents, scratches and only very limited wear observed. The weapon appears to have been meticulously cared for by the previous owner, with clear rubber tubing having been placed on the sling swivels to prevent metal-to-metal contact marks from occurring on the receiver.

This fully transferable submachine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy transfer. The current NFA Form 3 lists “WILSON, JAMES DBA WILSON ARMS CO” as the manufacturer and “Swedish K” as the model.
