This Chester County Armory listing is for a fully transferable NFA registered receiver AK machine gun that is setup as a Chinese Type 56C 7.62x39mm carbine select-fire machine gun.

This beautiful AK transferable machine gun originally started life as a semi-automatic AKS223 rifle built by Poly Tech Inc. Beijing, China. It was then imported into the US by Keng’s Firearm Specialty in Atlanta, GA. From there, it was converted and NFA registered by David’s Gun Room in Norcross, GA. This model was further setup as Type 56C (also known as a QBZ-56C) chambered in 7.62x39mm using original Chinese parts. The Type 56C is basically meant to be a more compact carbine version of China’s full size Type 56 rifle. These models feature a shorter, 11″ barrel that utilizes a booster on the end to increase reliability and are often confused with the Russian AK-74U Krinkov due to it’s similar booster/flash hider appearance. The fire controls are marked with S, A, F markings for SAFE, AUTO, and (semi) FIRE, respectively, with automatic fire in the AK correct middle position. This investment-grade AK also features a Polish right side-folding wire stock, wood forearm, and wood pistol grip. Purchase will include a 30rd magazine and an original Chinese AK sling.

This model is in overall excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. Mechanically, this model runs flawlessly with standard SAAMI spec ammunition. All physical mechanisms operate correctly and appropriately. The mirror-like bore remains bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling. The bolt face is crisp and clean. The bole carrier notes very little wear and use markings, and the bolt itself notes only minor finish wear. The internals are in very good condition with only minor finish wear observed.

Cosmetically, this magnificent model sports the original slightly gloss Poly Tech finish. The metalwork is in very good condition and note only very minor handling and use marks (most notably, the tell-tale “AK line” on the operational area of the safety and fire control selector). The wood furniture is smooth and consistent with only minor surface markings observed on the left side of the forend.

This fantastic investment grade, fully transferable AK machine gun is currently on a Form 3. The current Form 3 lists “China” as the manufacturer and “AKS” as the model.
