Status: In Stock / Please Call to Purchase
This Chester County Armory listing is for a Steyr AUG .223REM/5.56mm NATO transferable hammer pack machine gun with a Steyr factory original 9x19mm Parabellum caliber conversion kit.
This fabulous NFA transferable machine gun package starts with a Qualified Manufacturing AUG sear as the NFA registered machine gun device. It is currently installed in an original, Austrian-made, Steyr AUG .223REM / 5.56mm 16.4″ barreled rifle with a factory original 1.5X20mm integrated scope with the famous “doughnut-of-death” reticle. This is an original host rifle made by Steyr-Daimler-Puch and imported into the US prior to the 1989 “sporting purpose” qualifications. The Qualified Manufacturing sear is the NFA registered part and is not permanently tied to the host rifle, allowing it to be moved to other hosts, if desired. Purchase of this machine gun setup will also include a rarely seen, original Steyr factory 9x19mm conversion kit with a 13.8″ barrel, allowing the existing host weapon to be quickly configured into a 9mm submachine gun simply by swapping the bolt and barrel, and inserting a magazine adapter unit into the magazine well. In addition to the 9x19mm conversion kit, purchase of this setup also includes two Steyr original 30rd .223REM magazines, two Steyr original 42rd .223REM magazines, three Steyr original 25rd 9mm magazines (all with the bolt hold open mechanism), and and original OD green Steyr rifle sling.
This machine gun is in excellent mechanical condition. It runs flawlessly both in .223REM and and the 9x19mm Parabellum configurations using standard SAAMI spec ammunition. Both caliber bolt systems show only minor finish wear with clean bolt faces. The barrels for both calibers also retain crisp and clean rifling with bright, shiny bores. The hammer pack and registered sear are in excellent mechanical condition, with minimal wear observed. The original integral scope remains clean and clear with a no distortion points and crisp reticle. All control mechanisms operated smoothly and appropriately.
Cosmetically, this model is in overall very good condition. Some metal finish wear is noted at the contact point of the charging handle and receiver, as well as minor handling marks, use marks, and light surface scratches in the exterior metalwork. However, there are no dents, dings, cracks, malformations, etc. observed. The polymer stock also notes minor handling and use marks, as well, but again, no structural concerns, whatsoever.
This dual-caliber Steyr AUG machine gun setup is currently on an eForm ready Form 3 for quick and easy transfer. The current Form 3 lists “PARKER, RICHARD DBA QUALIFIED MANUFACTURI” as the manufacturer of this machine gun hammer pack and “AUG” as the model. The Steyr AUG host gun will transfer as a standard Title One rifle in .223REM.
