This Chester County Armory listing is for an original, all-Russian made, PPSh-41 7.62x25mm Tokarev transferable submachine gun.

Designed in 1941 by Soviet weapon designer Georgy Shpagin, the PPSh-41 saw widespread use by the Red Army during WWII on the Eastern Front. Due to it’s high cyclical rate of 1250 rounds per minute, these submachine guns were incredibly feared by the German army, and in turn, highly prized as a captured weapon that was often rechambered into German calibers and immediately returned to action when recovered.

This WWII era model notes entirely Russian manufacture, although the serial numbers on all parts are no longer (or possibly ever were) matching. Many models assembled towards the end of the war were assembled out of none-matching parts in order to continue production during time when part availability was limited. The receiver on this model is shows initial production in 1944, making it an ideal candidate to be created through cannibalized parts.

Overall condition on this weapon is very good.. Mechanically, all components function appropriately and smoothly, with no operational concerns. The metalwork and wooden stock note minor dings and dents, as would be expected in a WWII era combat model.  The bolt face remains crisp and clean and the bore is shiny with solid rifling. Cosmetically, this model notes surface, handling, and use marks, but no structural issues or operational concerns. Purchase of this transferable C&R eligible submachine gun will include one 71rd drum magazine and one 35rd box magazine.

This collectible WWII era submachine gun is fully transferable and C&R eligible. It is currently on a Form 3 for quick and easy purchase. The current NFA paperwork notes the manufacturer as “Russian Federation” and the model as “PPSH41”
