Original British Factory-Made Sten Mark II 9mm Pre-May Dealer Sample Submachine Gun w/ Integral Suppressor
Status: In-Stock / Please Call to Purchase
This Chester County Armory listing is for an original, British-factory made, WW2 era Sten Mark II 9mm Pre-May Dealer Sample Submachine Gun w/ a removable integral suppressor made by SCRC.
Created in the United Kingdom at the Royal Small Arms Factory in Enfield, this is a wonderfully historical example of one of the nearly two million Sten Mk II’s made during WW2 that helped save the free world from Nazi occupation.
This Pre-May Dealer Sample Only machine gun was assembled in Enfield, as determined by it’s serial number prefix of “R”. We say “assembled” because Sten’s weren’t really “manufactured” at British factories, but rather put together from parts and components that were created by various production companies all over England. This is the reason so many Sten Mk II’s (even ones with consecutive serial numbers) can appear so different in their production styles. This model also features an “S&S” marking on both the underside of the magwell and on the bottom of the trigger housing, indicating parts supplied by the British subcontracto Spear and Sons.
This Pre-May Dealer Sample Only model is currently set up as a Mk II(s), utilizing a transferable integral suppressor manufactured in the US by SCRC in Houston, TX. In addition to the suppressor, purchase of this model will also include the original barrel and barrel nut, an original olive-drab military sling, an additional skeleton stock, and one original 32rd detachable box magazine. The upper part of the magazine well is engraved as “STEN MK II.”
Overall condition on this British-made machine gun is excellent! The metalwork is in wonderful condition, with no dents, dings, gouges, malformation, cracks, etc. noted. All welds remain strong and solid. The internals are clean and note only minor interior wear. The bolt face is clean and well-defined, and the bore remains bright and shiny, with crisp, clean rifling. Cosmetically, this weapon does note finish and handling wear, however, the areas that are worn have patinaed to a very authentic and eye-pleasing gray and black finish that is appropriate for a WW2 era model that likely helped saved the world from German aggression.
This Pre-May dealer sample only submachine gun is currently on an eForm-capable Form 3 that lists “Imported NFA Firearm” as the manufacturer and “MK II” as the model. The included integral suppressor is fully transferable. The Form 3 paperwork for the suppressor lists “Form 2 Registration” as the manufacturer and “MK25” as the model.
