This Chester County Armory sale listing is for a rarely seen transferable submachine gun; a North Vietnamese Model K50M 7.62x25mm Tokarev submachine gun registered by DLO Manufacturing.

The K50M model was originally first designed and built in 1958 in Vietnam by modifying Russian PPSh-41’s and Chinese Type 50 models into the smaller, lighter-weight package of the K50M. Built in Vietnam from 1958-1964, this model was also referred to as an M58 based on its year of introduction, K50M’s use the same magazines and many common parts of their PPSh-41, but also feature some significant changes to the design. These changes include the addition of a pistol grip and telescoping stock, a shortened cooling sleeve,  a shorter length barrel,  and a front sight that is more akin to the front sight on an AK-47 rifle, as compared to the original PPSh-41 and Type 50 styles.

This particular model was reactivated by DLO Manufacturing using an original saw-cut receiver and what appear to be Russian, Chinese, and Vietnamese original parts. Mechanically, this weapon has been test fired and runs absolutely flawlessly, with no operational concerns, whatsoever. The bolt face remains clean and crisp, with limited wear noted. The barrel rifling remains crisp and well-defined.  Cosmetically, it is in excellent overall condition, having been refinished in a matte black finish by DLO. The original stock notes some minor finish wear.

True to the K50M design, this model will accept standard PPSh-41 and Type 50 35rd magazines, as well as 71rd drum magazines. Purchase of this weapon will include one 71rd Russian drum magazine, one 35 round box magazine, and the original Chi-Com olive drab military sling pictured on the weapon.

This NFA fully transferable machine gun is currently available on an eForm capable Form 3 that lists “Oefinger, Douglas dba DLO Mfg” as the manufacturer and “M58” as the model.
