This Chester County Armory listing is for an unfired, like-new condition, US Property marked Colt M16A2 5.56mm NATO 20″ barreled transferable machine gun with the rare and collectible serial number of 6000000A.

One of only about 76 known US Property marked transferable M16A2s, this rare piece of M16 history was original displayed in Colt’s in-house museum and archives. From there, it was transferred into the private collection of former Colt executive John Keosayian. This outstanding model has never been fired outside of any Colt factory testing and has been long-term stored with a Colt barrel wick safeguarding the barrel. It features SAFE, SEMI, and BURST marked fire controls and the original 20″ M16A2 1/7 twist 5.56mm NATO barreled upper. Mechanically, this model is in like new, unfired condition. The bore is bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling. The internals display no usage wear. Cosmetically, the exterior of this weapon notes some minor handling and storage marks at spots (see photos), however the weapon appears in fantastic, like-new condition.

Purchase of this model will also include an original Colt factory box and a Colt owner’s pack with an original M16A2 rifle manual. Two Colt factory 30rd magazines and two Colt factory 20rd magazines are also included. 

This rare, collectible Colt M16A2 US Property marked machine gun is fully transferable and currently on a Form 3. The current Form 3 lists “Colt” as the manufacturer and “M16A2” as the model.
