This Chester County listing is for a factory original Colt model M203 40mm grenade launcher mounted from the factory on a Colt stand alone chassis system for the M203.  

This rare compact factory setup features a four position telescoping stock instead of the more commonly seen Colt fixed stock versions. It also features the less common 10.5″ factory barrel on the M203 launcher, as opposed to the typical 12″ model. Purchase of this weapon setup will include Colt’s original factory serial numbered inspection tag for this weapon. This tag denotes a final inspection acceptance by Colt on March  , 1991.

Overall, this weapon is in like new condition. Mechanically, this setup is excellent, with all mechanisms operating appropriately. The bore face is crisp and clean. The rifling is strong and shows no signs of wear, whatsoever.

Cosmetically, this model displays only minor handling marks at spots, and some minor finish markings on the underside of the trigger mechanism on the angled areas. This is commonly seen from the factory, as Colt’s finish on this area was very inconsistent on the M203 models, particularly in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. This launcher appears to have been handled only, and not fired. In addition to the Colt Inspection hang tag, this model will also come with an orange chamber flag contracted by Colt for use with their M203 40mm launchers.

This NFA registered Destructive Device is currently on a Form 3 for easy transfer.

Individuals: prior to purchase, please make sure your Class 3 FFL/SOT dealer can accept a Destructive Device transfer. Under ATF rules, Type 01, Type 02, and Type 07 dealers may only accept two DD transfer’s per SOT year. An acknowledgement letter from these types of FFL/SOT dealers will be required to process a transfer. Type 09 and Type 10 FFL/SOT dealers are exempt from this requirement.
