This Chester County Armory listing is for a Heckler & Koch HK 21 7.62x51mm NATO transferable belt-fed registered receiver machine gun, upgraded by Vollmer Manufacturing.

This transferable machine gun was originally converted into a G3 machine gun and NFA registered from a German factory HK 91 semi-auto rifle by famed Class 3 Gunsmith Bill Fleming in Collinsville, OK.  It was then further upgraded from a G3 to an HK 21 belt-fed machine gun by F.J. Vollmer of Vollmer Mfg. in Bloomington, IL., using a original H&K German factory and HK officially licensed FMP parts. This model features SEF fire controls, olive green HK furniture, a removable folding bipod, and of, course, the quick-change 17.7″ removable barrel that the HK 21’s are known for.  It also features the heavy-duty, factory correct recoil spring and buffer system for the HK 21 models. This weapon has been correctly restamped by Vollmer to read “HK 21” as the model. Purchase of this model will include two complete barrels and numerous links.

Mechanically, this weapon is in outstanding condition with no mechanical concerns whatsoever. The bore on both the original barrel and the extra barrel are bright and shiny with crisp clean rifling. The barrels do not display any visible erosion. The BCG notes only minor markings. The bolt face remains crisp and clean. The fire control group notes no wear or concerns. Cosmetically, this transferable SEF model displays only very minor handling marks and slight surface scratches in its gray finish. It notes no dings, dents, gouges, or malformations in the metalwork. This model has been a one owner weapon for the past 20+ years, and has been declared to have been kept as a safe queen and fired very little by the previous owner.  This model is a wonderful opportunity for an NFA collector looking for an investment grade belt-fed machine gun that is sure to increase in value based on its desirability, rarity, condition, and price.

This fully transferable registered receiver machine gun is currently on an eForm 3 for quick and easy transfer. The current Form 3 lists “Heckler & Koch GmBH” as the manufacturer and “G3” as the model. Barrel length and overall length are also correct on the current Form 3.
