This Chester County Armory listing is for a P.A.W.S. Inc. / Olympic Arms SGW fully transferable CARAR M16/M4 type registered mil-spec receiver machine gun in 5.56mm NATO. It is currently setup as a 10.5″ Commando style weapon, but will also come with a 20″ rifle upper and fixed stock.

This model was originally built as a semi-automatic receiver by Olympic Arms SGW in Olympia, WA for commercial sale. It was then converted to a select-fire machine gun and NFA registered by P.A.W.S. Inc in Salem, OR. This is a standard mil-spec front pin receiver machine gun, so standard upper receivers will fit it without the need for pin alterations.  This model is currently set up with a 10.5″ Commando style A3 flattop upper with a removable carry handle and a mil-spec full-auto bolt carrier group. The barrel is a 1/7 twist standard profile 5.56mm barrel. The lower receiver features a collapsible B5 Enhanced SOPMOD 6-position stock with a Colt H2 buffer, along with a B5 P-Grip 23 pistol grip and KNS anti-walk hammer and trigger pins to prevent receiver wear. Purchase of this model will also include a 20″ 1/7 heavy barrel fixed A2 upper (also with it’s own additional full-auto BCG) and an A2 fixed stock with rifle spring and buffer. A Colt marked 30rd aluminum magazine is also included.

Overall, the condition on this model is excellent. Mechanically, the metalwork and internals are outstanding, with only minor points of wear noted on the internal components. The barrels of both uppers remain bright and shiny, with crisp, clean rifling. The BCG groups note only minor wear. The fire controls are in beautiful condition. The metalwork notes no dings, dents, gouges, malformations, etc. Cosmetically, this weapon has been refinished in a textured black finish from it’s original shiny Olympic Arms finish. There are some small handing and use marks noted at spots, mostly from receiver fitment and operational marks at the metal-to-metal contact points, such as the dust cover door and the charging handle contact points.

Overall, this transferable M16/M4 style machine gun is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful investment machine gun for the collector that wants to both shoot their M16/M4 model, as well as have the ability to modernize as much as possible. It is currently on an eForm capable Form 3 that lists “Olympic Arms” as the manufacturer and “CARAR” as the model.
