This Chester County Armory listing is for a fantastic example of an FN FAL Type 7.62mm NATO transferable machine gun.

Known as “The right arm of the free world”, due to the availability, accessibility, and various configurations of the FAL type rifles that proliferate throughout the free world’s militaries, this fully transferable machine gun was originally built and NFA registered by Barr Armsmaker of Frankston, Texas. It was created using an NFA registered upper receiver that was registered by Barr as a machine gun. This weapon was then assembled utilizing a complete original Steyr STG-58 parts kit. STG-58 versions of the FAL were fully licensed productions from FN Herstal, built by Steyr Werke AG for delivery to the Austrian military forces. This gorgeous transferable machine gun notes the gray phosphate finish, metal forearm with integrated bipod, and “D, E, S” fire controls that the STG-58 versions were noted for.

This FAL example is in excellent overall mechanical and cosmetic condition. Mechanically, the internals note only minor wear. The bore remains bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling. The bolt assembly notes only minor finish wear and a crisp, clean bolt face. The metalwork notes no dings, dents, cracks, malformations, etc. The action remains smooth and fluid.  Cosmetically, this weapon is also in above average condition, and notes only minor handling and use marks in the original exterior phosphate finish. The polymer furniture is solid with only minor handling marks and no deep or heavy scratches.

This gorgeous transferable FN FAL type machine gun is currently on an eForm-capable Form 3 for fast and easy transfer. The current Form 3 lists “FN (Herstal)” as the manufacturer and “FAL” as the model.
