Chinese/PolyTech AKS Type 56C QBZ-56C 7.62x39mm Transferable Select-Fire Kalashnikov Machine Gun

This Chester County Armory listing is for a Chinese PolyTech AKS registered receiver select fire Kalashnikov machine gun chambered in 7.62x39mm.

This rarely seen configuration features a 10.5″ barrel with a shortened forend, built to similar pattern to a Chinese Type 56C,  also known as a QBZ-56C short assault rifle. These models were initially designed by the Chinese Military to play an intermediate role to the Type 56 rifle and the smaller carbine versions. The QBZ-56C is often noted as featuring a Chinese folding stock, but this model was set up with a standard fixed wood stock, which helps with comfort and controllability. Due to the shorter barrel, the QBZ-56C also utilizes a booster device (similar to those seen on Krinkov models) to increase reliability of the weapon.

This unique NFA transferable machine gun originally started life as a semi-automatic AKS 5.56mm rifle made by Poly Tech Inc. Initially, production occurred in the famed Factory 416 People’s Republic of China factory. It was then imported into the US and converted to a select-fire machine gun and NFA registered by converted by David’s Gun Room in Norcross, GA.

This transferable registered receiver machine gun is in overall excellent mechanical condition. This weapon runs flawlessly with standard SAAMI spec ammunition. All physical mechanisms operate correctly, smoothly, and appropriately. The mirror-like bore remains bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling. The bolt face is crisp and clean. The bolt carrier is in excellent condition. The internals are in very good condition with only minor finish wear observed. The rails are clean and even.

Cosmetically, this beautiful weapon sports the original slightly gloss Poly Tech finish. The metalwork is in overall very good to excellent condition and notes only minor handling and use marks (most notably, the tell-tale “AK line” on the operational area of the safety and fire control selector). The fixed wood stock is solid with only standard surface imperfections that inherent to the original Chinese wood stock. The wooden forearm and pistol grip are also in similar condition.

This fantastic investment grade, fully transferable AK machine gun is currently on a Form 3. The current Form 3 lists “CHINA” as the manufacturer and “AKS” as the model.
