This Chester County Armory listing is for authentic WWII-era German MG 42 7.92x57mm Mauser transferable general purpose belt-fed machine gun that was remanufactured by DLO Mfg.

This beautiful piece of history features all German WWII-era original parts from built by renowned Class 3 gunsmith Doug Oefinger of DLO Mfg.  It has recently been thoroughly inspected, refurbished, and refinished to like-new condition by another renowned Class Gunsmith, Mike Friend of Firing Line in Wyandotte, OK.
Various German contractor and subcontractor markings, along with multiple Waffenamt markings are observed on this model.

Overall, this model is in outstanding remanufactured condition. Mechanically, it has been fully inspected with no noted concerns. It has been test-fired and functions flawlessly with standard SAAMI spec ammunition. All mechanisms operate smoothly and appropriately. The bolt face remains crisp and well defined. The barrel is bright with crisp rifling. Some minor wartime dents and dings are noted in the metal, but no cracks, malformations, or anything that would be cause for a structural concern. The weapon appears to have no reweld marks from manufacture, and was likely built from a DEWAT receiver, but that is only speculation based upon DLO’s MG42 history.

Cosmetically, this model has been completely refinished and reparkerized in a finish similar to what would have been expected on a wartime model. This professionalism displayed in the finish work is second to none, and appears very much like an example that would’ve rolled off the German War Machine assembly line during WW2. The fiberglass stock and pistol grip panels both display some minor handling marks and small chips on the exterior, but no structural concerns.

This fantastic, investment-grade, German/DLO manufactured MG42 transferable belt-fed general purpose machine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy transfer. The current NFA Form 3 paperwork denotes the manufacturer as “OEFINGER, DOUGLAS DBA DLO MFG” and the model as “MG42.”
