This Chester County Armory listing is for a Heckler & Koch P7M13 9mm pistol that has been customized to be setup just like the actual screen used model in every gun lover’s favorite Christmas movie…Die Hard.

This P7M13 is visually identical to the P7M13 used by villain Hans Gruber in the film. To match the movie gun, not only is this pistol the correct P7 model (M13,  not M8) and color (hard chrome, not nickel) it is also marked “HK T&E ONLY” stamped on the left side of the lower receiver frame, just like the actual screen used model for the film was. The actual weapon used is currently on display in the NRA museum.

A couple points of note: Heckler and Koch never factory made a hard chrome version of any P7M13 or P7M8. They did make factory nickel models, but never hard chrome. All hard chrome models (including the one from Die Hard) were finished outside of the H&K factory. The frame on this model is marked “HK T&E ONLY”. It is stamped into the metal (just like true factory HK test models) and is not laser engraved like many T&E aftermarket clones have been known to be, but is consistent with the style and engraving used from HK. That being said, the serial number on this model is outside the range of T&E models known to us, so there is a possibility that this may have been done custom outside of HK to match the authentic look of the Die Hard model, and was not originally a T&E model. However, is also known that HK saw a dramatic increase in T&E requests for this model from American media outlets immediately following the release of Die Hard. The date code of production for this weapon would put it in production from HK in 1988…the same year Die Hard was originally released.

This pistol is in excellent functional and mechanical condition, with no points of concern. The internals are clean, the bolt face is clean and crisp, and the barrel remains bright and shiny with clean rifling. Cosmetically, the hard chrome finish notes only minor use and handling marks, as well as some minor chrome bubbling at spots, as is common with anything typically hard chromed from the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s.

Purchase of this model will include two factory Heckler & Koch 13rd magazines (both in a chrome finish), an factory HK cleaning brush,  and factory HK P7 carbon scraper tool. Also included is a Heckler & Koch factory P7M13 original plastic box and manual, however, these two items are not serial numbered correctly to this weapon by the factory, and are only being offered as extras.
