This Chester County Armory listing is for a German 1944 WWII production MG34 8mm Mauser belt-fed Pre-May dealer sample machine gun.

This beautiful MG34 was originally built in 1944 by the German war machine factory of Waffenwerke Bruenn AG,  in Brno, Czechoslovakia, as is indicated by the “dot” factory code markings on the receiver. This is a late production model for an MG34, as by 1944, more time and effort were being put into the production of MG42s due to their easier and cheaper construction. However, the MG34 was still (arguably) considerably more desirable from a gunner’s operational standpoint.  This model features various German military proof marks and Waffenamt stamps throughout the weapon. All parts except the bolt are serial number matching on this model.

Overall condition on this weapon is excellent. The metalwork is all in solid physical condition with no concerns for cracks, dents, dings, malformations, etc. The bolt remains crisp and clean. The action operates smoothly and appropriately. The bore is slightly darkened, but retains crisp rifling. Cosmetically, the exterior metalwork has lost finish and patinaed at various locations to an eye-pleasing and age appropriate gray/auburn.  The original matching stock appears to have been repaired at some point, but very professionally and notes no further cracks or concerns.

This Pre-May Dealer Sample submachine gun is currently on an eForm-capable Form 3 for easy transfer. The current eForm for this weapon lists “Germany” as the manufacturer and “MG34” as the model.
