This Chester County Armory listing is for an absolutely beautiful Carl Gustaf m/45 Swedish K 9x19mm NATO transferable submachine gun registered by Pearl Manufacturing.

Also known as the Kulsprutepistol m/45 (in Swedish) or the Carl Gustaf m/45, the colloquially titled Swedish K is known as one of the finest sub machine guns to have ever been designed. With production first starting in Sweden in 1945 (hence the m/45 designation), versions of the Swedish K SMG have been used by countless countries in countless conflicts. Known the world over as one of the smoothest, most easily controlled sub machine gun designs, its own production led directly to the creation of the Smith & Wesson 76 here in the United States, as well as other designs and copies worldwide.

This particular model was built and registered by Martin Pearl of Pearl Manufacturing in Grants, NM using a receiver built by Pearl Mfg. and an original Swedish K parts kit. True to the original Swedish K design, this model features a first generation m/45 mag well, which can be easily removed to allow the use of Suomi M31 100rd drums and 50 round coffin magazines. This is in addition to the standard 36rd trapezoidal box magazine intended for the weapon. Pearl also created his receiver is to look like the original Swedish K folded design, and not simply a tube welded to the lower with an ugly seam running down its side. Purchase of this model will include one box magazine and one drum magazine.

Overall, the condition of this weapon is excellent! It runs flawlessly with standard SAAMI spec 9mm ammunition. Mechanically, it notes no functionality concerns, whatsoever. The bolt face remains crisp and clean with a well-defined fixed firing pin. Only minor finish wear is observed on the bolt assembly. The internals also note only minor finish wear. The bore remains bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling. The metalwork is solidly intact.

Cosmetically, the parkerized finish is in outstanding condition, and notes only very minor handling marks.

This fantastic example of a Swedish K transferable submachine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy eForm transfer. The current NFA paperwork lists “Pearl, Martin G DBA Pearl Manufacturing” as the manufacturer of this weapon and “M45” as the model.
