This Chester County Armory sale listing is for a PP-19 Vityaz 9x19mm select-fire registered receiver submachine gun that is fully transferable. This spectacular model was meticulously crafted by famed AK gunsmith Mike Friend of Firing Line in Wyandotte, OK using Kalashnikov USA K9 parts and a NFA registered, transferable Wilson Arms/Armi Jager AK22 steel registered receiver.

The PP-19 Vityaz was originally designed and produced by Russian small arms company Izhmash in 2004 as a more traditional, box magazine feed version of the PP-19 Bizon. Originally adapted from the venerable AK platform, the Vityaz operated from a closed bolt, straight blowback design. Due to this change from a standard AK, the gas system has been removed and replaced with a weighted bolt system that physically appears similar to an AK piston. The Vityaz shares the same receiver dimensions, trigger group, and selector controls as the AK-74 rifle. The selector lever is located on the right side of the receiver and has three settings: a fully up, unmarked safe setting that disables the trigger and physically blocks the charging handle; the middle position (marked “АВ”) enables fully automatic fire, and the lowest position (“ОД”) allows the weapon to fire in a semi-automatic mode. The Vityaz also features the same left-side folding stock as the AKS-74.

Mike Friend’s impressive work on this model has replicated the receiver markings exactly as what would be expected on a true Russian weapon. (The registered receiver also retains its legally-required original manufacturer and importation markings, as well). Mechanically, this approximately 800 rounds per minute submachine gun runs flawlessly, just like one would expect an AK machine gun to fire. This weapon is in like new condition, and has not been fired outside of all testing and evaluation was completed on the build by Firing Line.  The internal mechanisms show no wear. The bolt face is clean and strong. The bore is bright and shiny with crisp, clean, well-delineated rifling. The bolt assembly itself notes no wear markings on the finished bolt. Outside of the NFA registered receiver, all parts utilized in the build are in new condition.

Cosmetically, this amazing weapon is also in like-new condition, with only limited handling marks noted in the matte black finish. The selector lever engagement does note the tell-tale “AK line” from operation, but apart from that, the finish is completely intact on all areas of the weapon.  A single handling mark is noted on the top of the polymer handguard. This weapon accepts standard KUSA 9mm magazines. Purchase will include a total of six magazines: two KUSA factory black magazines and four PUF Russian translucent magazines.

This NFA transferable machine gun is currently available on an eForm capable Form 3 that lists “Jaeke, T.M.” as the manufacturer and “AK22″ as the model. The Form 3 has been recently updated with ATF to note the caliber as 9mm, the barrel length as 8.25″ and the overall length as 27.75”
