Status: In-Stock / Please Call to Purchase
This Chester County Armory listing is for a Swedish K m/45 SMG 9x19mm NATO transferable sub machine gun registered by Pearl Manufacturing.
Also known as the Kulsprutepistol m/45 (in Swedish) or the Carl Gustaf m/45, the colloquially titled Swedish K is known as one of the finest sub machine guns to have ever been designed. With production first started in Sweden in 1945 (hence the m/45 designation), versions of the Swedish K SMG have been used by countless countries in countless conflicts. Known the world over as one of the smoothest, most easily controlled sub machine gun designs, its own production led directly to the creation of the Smith & Wesson 76 here in the United States, as well as other designs and copies worldwide.
This particular model was NFA registered in the United States by Pearl Manufacturing Corp. in Grants, NM. This model uses a 1st generation Carl Gustaf design, which allows for the standard m/45 magwell to be easily removed and the use of Suomi M31 100rd drums and 50 round coffin magazines. This is in addition to the standard 36rd trapezoidal box magazine intended for the weapon.
Overall, the condition on this weapon is excellent. Mechanically, it notes no functionality concerns, whatsoever. The bolt and internals note only limited-use wear of the bolt finish. The bolt face is clean and crisp with a well-defined firing pin. The bore on this transferable sub machine gun remains bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling. The exterior metalwork notes no dings, dents, cracks, gouges, malformations, or anything that would be a concern for functionality. The wooden grips are in exceptional condition with no cracks, dents, dings, or even noticeable surface scratches.
Cosmetically, the original gray/green exterior parkerization and finish has patinaed to an eye-pleasing gray with copper and brown patina markings, as well. There are some notes of finish wear and handling marks, but nothing more than cosmetic in nature. Outside of typical finish aging, this model is in wonderful overall condition. The patinaed areas are smooth to the touch, indicating metal patina changes due to finish and time, and not corrosion or degradation of the steel.
This m/45 Swedish K transferable sub machine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy eForm transfer. The current NFA paperwork lists “Pearl Manufacturing” as the manufacturer of this weapon and “M-45” as the model.
