This Chester County Armory listing is for an excellent, like-new condition Neil Smith Jr. converted M16 5.56mm transferable registered receiver machine gun with rare 4-position (SAFE, SEMI, BURST, and AUTO) fire controls.

This receiver started off life as a semi-automatic Model J-15 receiver made by Essential Arms Company in Krotz Springs, Louisiana. The receiver was then converted to full-auto by famed gunsmith Neil Smith Jr. of Mentor, Ohio. It was then recently thoroughly inspected, upgraded, and tested by another famed gunsmith, Mike Friend of Firing Line in Wyandotte, OK. Mike was able to upgrade this model to a modernized M4 model through the addition of a rare,  four-position Enhanced fire control group using a mixture of Colt and DPMS Enhanced fire control parts. The receiver was also professionally refinished, and a new condition Colt factory Model LE6933 M4 Commando 11.5″ Enhanced Patrol Rifle complete factory upper was installed, along with a new Colt H2 carbine buffer and spring. In addition to the brand new upper,  factory new Magpul accessories were also installed. These accessories include front and rear Magpul Pro BUIS, a Magpul MOE+ pistol grip, and a Magpul MVG forward vertical grip. Upon gunsmithing completion, this model was test fired and runs flawlessly in all modes. This model has not been fired outside of the gunsmith testing and evaluation.

This transferable model is in spectacular, like new condition. Mechanically, all parts except the receiver are in new condition. The receiver itself is in excellent mechanical condition, with no dents, dings, cracks, gouges, malformations, etc. of any type. Cosmetically, this entire weapon is in like-new condition, with no noted handling marks, whatsoever. Purchase of this weapon will include one 30rd Gen 3 windowed Magpul PMAG, as well as the original factory boxes for the Colt complete factory upper, the Magpul pistol grip, Magpul vertical grip, and the Magpul Pro iron sights.

This excellent, modernized transferable machine gun package is currently on an eForm-capable Form 3 that lists “US” as the manufacturer and “J-15” as the model.
