Status: In Stock / Please Call to Purchase
This Chester County Armory sale listing is for an original early production, Cobray marked, Military Armament Corp. Model Ingram M10 (aka, MAC-10) fully transferable submachine gun factory chambered in 9mm Parabellum.
Manufactured in the famed Powder Springs, GA factory by Military Armament Corp., MAC-10 models built here remain the most well known and desired versions of Gordon Ingram’s original Model M10 submachine gun design. This is mostly due to the excellent build quality and defining build features in use by MAC at this location, prior to the its initial bankruptcy and cheapening of the design in both quality and materials by subsequent licensed manufacturers.
Based upon its serial number, this beautiful select-fire transferable open-bolt machine gun was manufactured during Military Armament Company’s first year of factory production in 1972, making it a Curio & Relic eligible model by fulfilling ATF’s age requirement for inclusion. It is in its original MAC Ingram M10 factory configuration with a 5.7″ 9mm factory barreled upper, trapezoidal mag well, Cobray marked wire telescoping stock, and proudly continues to display its original factory finish. This model also features the very collectible and desirable windage adjustable front sight that was available on early models, prior to their cost-saving transition to a fixed front sight. The bolt system is in it’s original double feed setup which utilized converted Walther MP 9mm magazines.
Purchase will also include one 36rd magazine double feed magazine, an original MAC aluminum cleaning rod, a vertical front strap, and an original magazine loader.
Overall, this weapon is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. Mechanically, the metalwork is solid, with no dents, dings, cracks, or malformations of any type. The fire control internals and factory bolt group display only minor use and finish wear. The bolt face is crisp and well-defined. The barrel remains bright and shiny with clean, well-delineated rifling. This weapon has been test fired and functions flawlessly with standard 9x19mm Parabellum SAAMI spec ammunition.
Cosmetically, this transferable submachine gun is also in excellent condition. The original factory finish notes only minor surface use and handling markings at spots, but is in well above average condition for the MAC family of weapons, where finish was often marred from factory production. There are no structural or physical concerns noted on the weapon, whatsoever. This C&R license eligible model is both a fantastic entry-grade weapon to the world of NFA, as well as a great investment opportunity as the steady increases of price and value continue to move upward in the family of NFA MAC weapons.
This model is currently on an eForm capable Form 3 that lists “Military Armament Corp” as the manufacturer and “M10” as the model.
