Israeli Military Industries FBI Model B Uzi SMG 9mm Parabellum Transferable Registered Receiver Submachine Gun

This Chester County Armory listing is for an Israeli Military Industries Uzi Model B 9mm Parabellum NFA transferable registered receiver submachine gun.

This beautiful specimen was originally manufactured in Israel by IMI (Israeli Military Industries) as a semi-automatic Uzi Model B in 9mm Parabellum. It was imported into the US by Action Arms of Philadelphia, PA and then converted and NFA registered as a transferable submachine gun by Hard Times Armory in Smyrna, Ga. It has recently been fully inspected, updated, refinished, and test fired by renowned Class 3 Gunsmith Mike Friend of Firing Line in Wyanndotte, OK.

This weapon is setup in a configuration to what has commonly become known as the “FBI Model” (even though no such designation was created by IMI). At the time, the FBI requested a slightly modified version of the original Uzi SMG in order to create a weapon that was more concealable and could accommodate a specific suppressor without jeopardizing overall length as much. This transferable submachine gun features a barrel that has been shortened by approximately 1.2″ from original stock SMG size (9″ vs the original 10.2″), to replicate the shortened version that was fielded by the FBI in the early 1980’s.  This transferable submachine gun has also been refinished in a slight gloss black finish with red and white inlay in the fire controls to allow for greater corrosion resistance.

This gorgeous transferable submachine gun setup is in fantastic overall condition.  It runs absolutely flawlessly with standard 9x19mm SAAMI spec ammunition. The bolt face remains crisp and clean and the bolt itself displays no finish wear markings at the metal contact fitting points. The bore is bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling. The exterior finish is in outstanding, like new condition, with no handling marks.  The polymer forearm and pistol grip are in excellent condition, with no noted concerns. Purchase of this transferable machine gun will include four original 32rd magazines, as well as a new condition original IMI Uzi SMG sling.

This NFA transferable submachine gun is currently on an eForm-capable Form 3 that lists ” Israeli Military Industries” as the manufacturer and “B” as the model.
