This Chester County Armory listing is for a beautiful IMI UZI SMG 9x19mm NATO transferable register receiver submachine gun.

This IMI model was originally imported into the US as semi-automatic Model A rifle by Action Arms of Philadelphia, PA. It was converted to a select-fire machine gun and NFA registered by REC in Martinsville, Indiana. The conversion on this model correctly removed the semi-auto blocking bar to allow the installation of an SMG-correct full-auto, fixed pin non-slotted bolt assembly. The receiver retains the original barrel ring and improved second-generation feed ramp for better feeding of all types of ammunition. This model has also been upgraded with an SMG-correct ratcheting top cover.

This model was recently restamped to read “SMG UZI” (to match the Israeli IMI factory machine gun markings), refinished to a Cerakote matte black with red and white inlayed fire controls, and fully inspected and test-fired for function by famed gunsmith Mike Friend of Firing Line in Wyandotte, OK.  This magnificent transferable submachine gun in like-new condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The metalwork notes no dings, dents, cracks, gouges, or malformations of any type. The SMG bolt notes only the faintest of markings and no wear. The bolt face is clean and crisply defined. The bore is bright and shiny with crisp and clean lands and grooves throughout.

Cosmetically, this weapon is in an outstanding condition, with a like-new physical appearance. The only markings of note in the matte black Cerakote finish are at the pinch/rub metal-to-metal contact points of the folding stock and a minor handling mark on the left side of the front sight protector. The black polymer furniture displays some minor handling markings and a slight variation in color that is only superficial in nature.

This transferable registered receiver submachine gun is currently on an NFA Form 3 that lists “IMI” as the manufacturer and “A UZI” as the model.
