Desert Ordnance Upgraded Saco-Lowell/RIA M60 E6 7.62x51mm NATO Transferable Belt-Fed Machine Gun
Status: In-Stock / Please Call to Purchase
This Chester County Armory listing is for a fabulous, like-new condition Saco-Lowell/Rock Island Armory M60 transferable machine gun that has been completely upgraded to the most modern M60 E6 configuration by Desert Ordnance LLC using a new condition U.S. Ordnance manufactured E6 parts kit.
This transferable machine gun started off life as an early registered M60 by Rock Island Armory. The first 80 guns registered by RIA were built and serial numbered using original hardened steel USGI registered trunnions, and not the more flexible (and more likely to be physically damaged) bottom channel, as the later and less desirable RIA versions were. This model features its original “Saco-Lowell Shops M60C”marked trunnion, which sports the serial number of the weapon. It has been completely upgraded to the latest-and-greatest modern M60 E6 version by military supplier Desert Ordnance LLC in McCarran, NV utilizing an original E6 parts kit. This weapon has been thoroughly inspected and tested by Desert Ordnance, and is being offered in like-new condition since its build and certification by Desert Ordnance. This weapon has not been fired outside of factory test-firing by Desert Ordnance. Purchase of this weapon includes an original laser-cut Pelican case for the E6 as supplied by Desert Ordnance.
Cosmetically, the exterior finish is in factory new condition. The metalwork notes no cracks, dings, dents, gouges, malformations, etc. The original rear sight and barrel locking lever note some minor finish wear on the edges, and there is a minor brass tool marking on the left side of the bottom channel from the upgrade process, but the rest of the firearm is in absolutely pristine condition.
This spectacular belt-fed machine gun setup is fully transferable and is currently on an eForm-capable Form 3 for easy transfer. The current Form 3 lists “Rock Island Armory” as the manufacturer of this machine gun and “M60” as the model.
