This Chester County Armory listing is for a rare factory Colt Model R6450 AR-15 9mm Carbine 10.5″ short barreled semi-automatic factory rifle.

This early model R6450 SBR was factory created by Colt as a semi-automatic SBR, and registered by them, as such. Most commonly seen in its 16” barrel configuration, this was one of the early generations of the R6450’s. Factory-registered, semi-automatic SBR’s in this model are few and far between, as Colt focused mainly on the SMG versions when it came to this barrel length.

This early model features an early production A2 lower with no fence on the mag well and a three-pin magazine block. This model also features the original two position stock and buffer tube from Colt, as well as its original 10.5″ barreled upper with bayonet lug. This model is in excellent, like new mechanical and cosmetic condition, and appears to have been fired very little, if at all. The barrel is bright and shiny with extremely crisp rifling. The bolt shows only the slightest markings of silver at the chamber, and no wear throughout the bolt body. The hammer and fire control group show. very minimal markings, as well. The exterior parkerized finish is also in superb condition, with only a few minor handling marks in the original Colt gray.
