This Chester County Armory listing is for a gorgeous all-Italian factory original Beretta AR70 Model 70/223 5.56mm NATO fully Pre May Dealer Sample Only select fire machine gun. This model is an Italian factory purpose-built original machine gun and is not a conversion model. It is in its original standard automatic rifle configuration that features a fixed stock and a 17.7″ barrel with grenade launcher mount and front and rear flip-up sights for grenades, along with a standard bayonet lug.

This fantastic model was originally made in Italy by the Pietro Beretta Company as a factory original three position select-fire machine gun featuring safe, semi-automatic, and full-automatic fire modes. It was then subsequently imported by Beretta themselves into the United States as a Dealer Sample Only machine gun due to post 1968 restrictions on foreign manufactured machine guns.

Overall, this model is in beautiful condition. Mechanically, it is in excellent condition. The metalwork is outstanding, with only limited wear and handling marks observed. The bore remains bright and shiny with crisp rifling. The bolt and bolt carrier note only minor wear. The fire control group notes only minor wear, as well.  Cosmetically, the original factory finish of the metalwork is in excellent condition, as well, with only minor surface handling marks observed. The polymer stock and pistol grip of the weapon display some minor scuffs and light scratches in its original Beretta factory finish, in what appears to be most likely from storage.

This fantastic Italian factory original Beretta AR70 Model 70/223 Dealer Sample Only machine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy transfer. The current NFA paperwork lists “Form 2 Registration” as the manufacturer and “AR70” as the model.
