This Chester County Armory listing is for a fully transferable Sturm Ruger Mini-14 .223REM/5.56mm full-auto transferable suppressed machine gun.
This beautiful setup started out as a semi-automatic Sturm Ruger Mini-14 rifle built in 1985 by Ruger. It was then converted into a full-auto machine gun and NFA registered by Centre Firearms in New York, NY prior to the 1986 NFA cutoff date. This model is not select-fire, but is a full-auto only model. It has recently been sent to renowned Class 3 Gunsmith Mike Friend of Firing Line of Wyandotte, OK for full inspection, testing, and upgrading of the gas system to allow for suppressor use. Due to the nature of their original design, Mini-14’s and their big brother, the Sturm Ruger AC-556, can not typically be suppressed without damaging the receiver during operation due to a lack of a factory buffer system. Mike Friend’s ingenious design and upgrade eliminates this concern completely by installing a custom gas regulation system in this model that can be tuned with an Allen wrench to allow for various types of suppressors to be used. This machine gun will come with a HUXWRX Flow 556K suppressor that will provide even less back pressure than a standard suppressor to allow for this model to be safely and enjoyably fired suppressed, even in full-auto. In addition to the Ruger factory folding stock, this model also features a 13.5″ barrel threaded 1/2x28m.
This model is in outstanding mechanical condition with no operational concerns. It functions flawlessly both suppressed and unsuppressed with tuning of the gas system using standard NATO SAAMI spec ammunition. The fire controls are in excellent condition with no noted concerns. The bolt assembly notes only minor physical wear. The bolt face remains clean and crisp. The bore is bright and shiny with clean, well-delineated rifling. The metalwork notes no dings, dents, malformations, gouges, etc..
Cosmetically, this transferable machine gun is also in very good overall condition with only minor handling and use marks noted at various spots. The factory original blued finish notes some minor use and handling marks on the edges of the original factory finish, but remains with roughly 90% of its original blue finish. The wood stock is in excellent condition, with only minor light surface markings observed in the metal of the folding stock. The birch wood of the stock is in outstanding condition, with no dents, dings, scratches, etc. observed. The HUXWRX FLOW 556K suppressor and HUXWRX flash hider are factory new in box, having only been mounted for the pictures and then removed.
In addition to the included suppressor, this model will also come with one 30rd Ruger magazine.
This transferable machine gun is currently on a Form 3 for easy transfer. The current NFA Form 3 lists “Centre Firearms” as the manufacturer and “Mini 14” as the model.
