This Chester County Armory listing is for a fully transferable Poly Tech AKS under folder machine gun chambered in 7.62x39mm
This beautiful AK-47 style transferable machine gun originally started life as a semi-automatic AKS 5.56mm under folder rifle made by Poly Tech Inc in the famed Factory 416 People’s Republic of China factory. It was imported into the US by Keng’s Firearm Specialty in Atlanta, GA and then converted to a select-fire machine gun, rechambered to 7.62x39mm, and NFA registered by SWD Inc.
This model is in overall excellent mechanical condition. This weapon runs flawlessly with standard SAAMI spec ammunition. All physical mechanisms operate correctly, smoothly, and appropriately. The mirror-like bore remains bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling. The bolt face is crisp and clean. The bolt carrier is in excellent condition. The internals are in very good condition with only minor finish wear observed. The rails are clean and even.
Cosmetically, this beautiful weapon sports the original slightly gloss Poly Tech finish. The metalwork is in overall very good to excellent condition and notes only minor handling and use marks (most notably, the tell-tale “AK line” on the operational area of the safety and fire control selector). The original folding stock is solid and operated smoothly and appropriately. The wooden furniture notes some minor handling marks, surface scratches, and minor chips, but is solid and historically accurate.
This fantastic investment grade, fully transferable AK machine gun is currently on a Form 3. The current Form 3 lists “Form 2 Registration” as the manufacturer and “AKS223” as the model.
