This Chester County Armory listing is for a Heckler & Koch HK416 M27 IAR 5.56mm NATO transferable machine gun package.

This rarely seen machine gun setup consists of an NFA fully transferable SWD M15AC Lightning Link machine gun conversion device, along with a rare, original German factory produced, Heckler & Koch HK416DSF 5.56mm NATO rifle as a host gun. This rare model is not a US produced clone, but was one of the very few H&K German factory production HK416 models that were allowed into the US by BATFE.  This model features the rare M27 IAR 16.5″ barrel and piston setup that was originally intended by the US Marines for their automatic riflemen, but eventually was adopted  and issued to all infantry squad members as a replacement for the M4 Carbine due to its superior performance in the field. Both the upper and lower receivers are correctly serial number matched by Heckler & Koch.

This fantastic weapon features three position fire controls consisting of safe, semi-automatic, and full-automatic, however in keeping with original nature of the host gun, the full-automatic position has not been separately marked. With the exception of proper gunsmithing for the correct fitment of the transferable US made and registered Lightning Link, all parts on this weapon are original German manufactured parts, including the select-fire controls that are utilized.

Mechanically, this weapon is in outstanding condition with no operational concerns whatsoever. All installation and gunsmithing adjustments for the NFA registered Lightning Link were performed by famed Lightning Link Gunsmith John Ciszek of JECIII. This machine gun setup runs flawlessly with standard 5.56mm NATO SAAMI-spec ammunition. The IAR weapon bore remains bright and shiny with crisp clean rifling. The BCG notes only minor wear markings. The bolt face remains crisp and clean. The fire control group notes no wear or concerns.

Cosmetically, this weapon is in outstanding condition, with only very minor surface handling marks observed in it is original factory finish.

This weapon system will require only one NFA transfer for the registered Lightning Link (and a standard Title One transfer for the rifle).  The HK host weapon is a separate Title One firearm and the transferable Lightning Link may be removed at any time and lawfully placed into other approved weapons without creating an unintended or unlawful model left behind.

This machine gun device is currently on an eForm-capable Form 3 for quick and easy transfer. The current Form 3 lists “SW Daniel” as the manufacturer and “M15AC” as the model.
