This Chester County Armory listing is for a rare, early commercial imported Heckler & Koch MP5-A3 9x19mm Parabellum factory original Pre-May Dealer Sample Only machine gun

This incredible model was built in Germany at the Heckler & Koch facility in September of 1973 exclusively as a commercial law enforcement Sales sample for SACO in Arlington, VA. As a post-1968 foreign-manufactured machine gun, it is only available in the US as a Pre-May Dealer Sample model. This model is in unfired, original form. It features the early-production HK MP5 factory parkerized finish prior to HK’s changeover to their well-known black finish. This factory original model also features an early design HK tri-lug barrel, its original A3 telescoping stock, its original SEF contoured polymer double push pin trigger mechanism and housing, and will come in its original factory sales sample cardboard box. This model also includes three 1st production HK MP5 30rd straight magazines. These rare straight models were only made for a short time before HK updated the design to the more commonly seen curved style magazines for better feeding reliability. Also included with this purchase is an original German leather magazine pouch and a Heckler & Koch factory loader and unloader for the MP5.

This model is in excellent mechanical condition. All internals appear in unfired, factory new condition. All mechanisms operate smoothly and appropriately. The bolt and internals note no finish or use wear. The bolt face is crisp and solid with no noted markings. The bore is bright and shiny with crisp, clean rifling. The slimline forend is solid with no dents, dings, cracks, etc. observed. The stock and trigger housing remain in like new condition. Cosmetically, this model is also in excellent, like new condition, with only very minor handling and storage marks observed in the original exterior finish (see photos).

This beautiful Pre-May Dealer Sample Only factory submachine gun is currently on an eForm-capable Form 3 that lists the manufacturer as “HECKLER AND KOCH GMBH” and the model as “MP5.”
