This Chester County Armory listing is for a Dutch factory original ArmaLite AR-10 7.62x51mm NATO Pre May Dealer Sample Only select fire machine gun.
This fantastic machine gun was originally manufactured in the Kingdom or the Netherlands by the Dutch military owned small arms company Artillerie-Inrichtingen. These models were officially licensed productions by ArmaLite Inc. that were manufactured there from 1958 through 1961. It as a factory original three position select-fire machine gun featuring safe, semi-automatic, and full-automatic fire modes and is chambered in the powerful 7.62x51mm NATO / .308REM cartridge. This particular weapon was then imported into the United States by Inter American of Sacramento, CA sometime after the 1968 restrictions on US importations of foreign manufactured machine guns, forcing it to be classified as a Pre-May Dealer Sample Only model.
Overall, this factory machine gun is in very good condition. Mechanically, it is in excellent condition. The metalwork is outstanding with no dents, dings, cracks, malformations, etc. The bore remains bright and shiny with crisp rifling. The bolt and bolt carrier note hardly any wear marks. The operation of the bolt is silky smooth. The fire control group notes only minor wear. Cosmetically, the original factory finish of the metalwork is in good condition, but does note finish wear from both handling and storage, as well as minor finish deviations due to time. and original finish construction. The original Bakelite forearm and pistol grip are in excellent condition, with very limited handling marks observed. The original Bakelite stock notes some minor handling marks and scuffs and finish wear on the buttplate, but remains in overall very good condition.
